Would you rather be a vampire or a werewolf?

Pirate. I neither want to sparkle nor a member of a sausagefest.

Ask me anything

What 3 things do you think will become obsolete in the next ten years?

Gas(out of necessity, really), LAN wires(they should be already!), Separate Internet Entities(Net Neutrality FTW!).

Back in Biz (sorta)

Well, the jam blog has been languishing, on account of I went to the beach for a week on a wife-forced vay-cay. And since then, I've been on jury duty! So it's been tough to get around to posting anything. Maybe soon, I'll manage to try another Recent Roundup, like this or this (assuming y'all have anything for me to put on here).

Meanwhile, for those who haven't read it, Tim Rocks has a great new 5-page comic HERE.

suggestion withdrawn

I was thinking of suggesting we shoot some hoops or something at the next slam. But then I remembered I don't have a head-band.

Salty 'Ham Slam 8

The eighth edition of the Salty 'Ham Slam has been scheduled! The exact date, time, and location are a secret, reserved for our official members and close associates only. If you haven't yet received the details by email, contact me and I will send them forthwith: cgarrison[at]bham.rr.com

More info HERE.

(I just made this posterette by repurposing some old artwork of mine. Anybody want to color it? I could email you a higher res version to play with.)

View of the City

This news isn't about cartooning per se, but it's about a cartooneesta:

Our fellow SHC Christopher Davis is hosting a new public access/internet TV show, called View of the City. It's a weekly half-hour of Birmingham area-related comedy, if you can believe it. If you can't believe it, then nevermind. It's not my job to convince you of these things.

Watch View of the City every Sunday night at 6, on Charter Cable channel 21. Or if you don't have Charter, you can watch it online at viewofthecity.net. The second episode is up right now; I'm not sure if the first episode is still available for watching or not.

The first two episodes are both shockingly great, and that's on top of all the other awesome comedy stuff that Chris Davis is constantly working on. Way to go, Chris!
